Reflection Questions for Playback P.E

On Tuesday the 12th of February we had Playback P.E and we played two games. Afterward we had to answer the questions the teacher gave us.

Here they are:

What games did your class play?
Silly bananas and Bench Ball.

What game did you enjoy the most and why?
Silly bananas because it was funny running away from someone and it was exhilarating

What game did you find challenging and why?
Silly bananas because it was hard looking for the person you were supposed to be running away from in a huge crowd.

One of the goals was to listen, what skill do you need to be a good listener?
Patience and Ignoring other people.

What communication skills did I need to have when playing bench ball?
Encouragement and Teamwork.

What skill do I Need to work on for my next lesson?
Ignoring other people.

I also had to choose three commitment goals to work on.

I will show commitment by trying not to think about how bad my day was if it was bad.

I will show commitment by trying to join in the game.

I will show commitment by trying to be positive.

Making movies

At school we had to make a 1 minute movie. Except we couldn't talk. And the only sound allowed was music. We had to go in groups of 3-5 and so I went with Rory and Tyson. I'm not going to share it because it was quite embarrassing but I'll tell you about it.  At the start of the movie one person was walking across the grass and then the other person came into the shot and pushed the first person. The second person then ran away and the first person got up and chased after them.

After everyone finished their 1 minute movies we had to rewrite and record a fairytale with a twisted ending. We had to go in groups of 4-5 for this one though. I went in a group with Mitchell, Levi, Cody and Hunter F. After lots of hard thinking, we chose Peter Pan and we decided who would be who. I would be Peter Pan, Levi would be a narrator, Mitchell would be Captain Hook and because there is a twist, Captain Hook has a pet turtle named Kermit (Hunter) and instead of taking Wendy for an adventure, Peter Pan takes Wendy's little brother for an adventure. We had to write a script, write our story and now we have to practice our lines and our actions. After we have practiced our actions and script, we will start filming as long as everyone is there.

Passion Projects: Pizza

Today the 29/11/2018 we finished making the pizza. We put cheese, sauce, beef and onion on our pizza. In the process of making the pizza, we took some photos and videos to show you that show our results.

What we could do differently next time is make sure that whoever

joins our group is going to do their part. We could also make sure that everyone is doing their part and we should make it fair for everyone.

Passion Projects: Update

We have minced the beef,  made the sauce and made the dough.  As I am writing, the dough is rising.  On Thursday we will be stretching the dough out and putting the sauce on.  We will then put the toppings of our choice on top of the pre-pizza.  Our toppings are: Capsicum, Mushroom, Cheese, Beef and Onion.

List your equipment that you will need. (must order it to have it) Teaspoon, whisk, bowl x3, frying pan, cutting board, wooden spoon, jug, stirring machine Dough - 2 teaspoons of yeast 1/2 teaspoon of caster sugar 3/4 cup of warm water 2 cups of plain flour 2 tablespoons of olive oil 1 teaspoon of salt Pizza sauce - 400g of tomatoes (you can use tinned) 1/3 cup of tomato paste 1 small brown onion 1 teaspoon of caster sugar 1-2 cloves of garlic Simply top with your favourite toppings: Cheese Capsicum Beef Onion Sauces on top: Mayo and BBQ

Outline a step by step method of your investigation: Raw Sauce: Step 1: Put Oil on the frying pan on the stove with the stove on. Step 2: Put the chopped onion in the frying pan. Step 3: Put the Garlic in. Step 4: Put both the tomatoes and tomato paste in the frying pan. Step 5: Put the Caster Sugar in the frying pan. Step 6: Mix well until ready. Dough: Step 1: Put Yeast in one of the bowls. Step 2: Put the water in with the yeast. Step 3: Whisk it. Step 4: Get a different bowl and put the flour in it. Step 5: Put some of the oil in with the flour. Step 6: Mix the Yeast and water in with the flour. Step 7: Stir it well. Step 8: Sprinkle some flour down on the table and knead the dough with your hands. Step 9: Put something over the bowl with the dough in it and leave it for as long as it needs to grow. Cooking: Step 1: Spread out the dough and put the sauce on top and then put all your toppings on it. Step 2: Put the pizza in the oven for 15 - 20 mins at 220 degrees.

For Passion Projects we had to fill in a form and then we were put into a group based on our form.  I got put into discovery.  When I got into discovery I was thinking about what I was going to do. I joined Noah's group and then we decided we were going to make pizza.  We researched and then found out what we needed for the pizza and so we had to bring the items that we needed. We also had to do some paperwork as well. After that, all we had to do was wait...
