Maths - Integers
Last week my maths group had to learn about integers, there was only one person in our group who didn't know about integers at first but then they got the hang of it. it was really fun doing maths with integers because it was like heaven and hell, positives and negatives. Integers are negative numbers, basically they are numbers under zero. You can plus negative numbers with each other, plus negative numbers, but if you plus a negative and a positive number like -5 + 3 you will have to make the negative number go up because of the positive numbers. So the answer would be -2 because you are adding the positive three to the negative five. The three pulls the -5 closer to the zero. Subtracting is basically the opposite. I have made a simple graph to help everyone understand. I hope this has helped you understand integers easier.
