Fill in the table below.

Name:
Purpose:
Wheels
It has six wheels and each of them has one motor. The two at the front and back wheels both have a steering motor each. Because of this, the rover can make a full 360 degree turn. The rover can swerve and curve and make arcing turns.
Solar Panel
The rover has a radioisotope power system which produces a flow of electricity which uses the heat of plutonium's radioactive decay as fuel.
Laser
Camera
The rover has many senses. One of the cameras is used for landing. Some of the other cameras are used to record the surface and while the rover is moving around. The rover also has a camera on it's arm.
Shovel, rock pick,drill
The drill will dig into the ground to collect the samples. The drill has three attachments that analyse the surface and facilitate sample acquisition.

2. In groups of 3 you will Design, Draw and Make a Mars Rover out of Lego Technics.
Materials:

  1. Lego Technics
  2. A4 paper
  3. Pencil
  4. Ruler
  5. Eraser
The drawing and model must have:
  • 6 wheels
  • 1 camera
  • 1 tool at the front than includes a shovel, pick and drill.
