AIM: TO LOOK AT CLIMATE CHANGE AND THE GREENHOUSE EFFECT
.
The Greenhouse Effect experiment
Materials:
- 1 Plastic bottle,
- 1 Teaspoon Baking Soda and Citric Acid,
- 1 heat lamp,
- 1 Thermometer,
- 100 ml of water,
- 1 rubber bung.
Procedure;
- Get all of the ingredients ready.
- Set up the lights, bottle, thermometer, and the bung.
- Add the baking soda mix along with 100ml of water.
- Wait for 5 minutes and start recording the temperature.
Variables:
All water added to the bottles were from the classroom tap.

Conclusion: The water bottles heat went up slower, and the CO2 bottles heat went up faster. Since the CO2 bottle heats up faster, I can conclude that CO2 causes climate change.
