Ella west visit

In Period one today, we headed to the auditorium because Ella West came to visit our school! Ella West is a very talented Author and Journalist who has written six books! Her first three books were a series, but her other three aren't. Ella told us that she wrote 40,000 words on Night Vision, but 50,000 on Rain Fall.

Her fourth book is called "Night Vision" and it's about a girl who has XP. XP is a disorder which basically affects kids genes where they can't go out into the sun. The girl in the story witnesses a car being put on fire (at night) in the middle of a forest, so she tries to stop the trees from catching on fire. It's really dangerous for the girl because she has XP, but she lives. The girl has Night vision goggles, so that's why the book is called "Night Vision". Her Fifth book is a translation of Night vision to Italian. The title in Italian means "The deceptive art of owl".

Her Sixth book is called "Rain Fall". It's about a girl named Annie, her missing neighbour and a mysterious boy riding a horse. Ella Didn't tell us much about the story in Rain fall, but she did tell us that the places in the book are real places, that she had to look up on google maps.

I'm hoping I can read Night Vision and Rain fall because they sound amazing and the stories sound awesome. I enjoyed listening about Night Vision more because there are real places in it and one fake place as well, so it's a variety.
