Aim:
To learn about flight and aerodynamics
Definition:
Flight: To soar through the air controllably.
Aerodynamics: Aerodynamics are the forces of which make something fly.
Forces of flight:
1.Thrust
2.Gravity/Weight
3.Lift
4.Drag
We had to add things to our paper planes to see if they flew farther. Here is what happened with mine:
Normal: 1.8M Type of flight: Straight.
Ailerons: 2.4M Type of flight: Straight while flipping
Ailerons and Paperclip: 2.4M Type of flight: Straight then swoop to the side.
Conclusion: Additions can sometimes make the paper plane fly farther. Additions can possibly make flight more complex. Depending on what additions you put on your paper plane the distance and the Amount of complexity changes.
